Biggest and Freshest, A kayak journey around the largest lakes in the world. Friday Evening 7:30pm
Two lakes on the planet hold more than 30% of our freshwater. Both are deep, cold, and fairly remote. North America’s Lake Superior and Russia’s Lake Baikal are the two largest bodies of freshwater in the world. The seat of a kayak offers a unique perspective to compare the landscapes, ecology and culture of these two increasingly important resources.
Matt, and his wife Hannah, spent nearly 4 months and 3,000 miles circumnavigating these two lakes in their sea kayaks. They met the people, saw the wilderness and grew as both people and paddlers. Join them as they share their stories of the biggest and freshest water in the world.
