Kayaks/S.U.P.
Here at Down Wind Sports we firmly believe in the concept of “Try Before You Buy”. Our rental program provides the perfect opportunity to try out a particular piece of equipment or activity… and remember, your rental fees can be applied to the purchase of any new equipment.
With the largest freshwater lake right out our backdoor, the south shore of Lake Superior is a world class destination for sea kayaking. From Isle Royale to Grand Island and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore there are endless opportunities for full on expeditions to exciting day paddles.
Rental Fee:
$50/Day – stand up paddle boards and kayaks are due back by the end of business on the following day - Includes board/kayak, paddle, pfd, leash (sup), safety kit (kayak).
Kayaks & SUP Boards Available:
We have a variety of boards and boats available from Bic, Perception, Current Designs, Eddyline, Impex, and P&H. Anything from 10ft long recreational kayaks up to 18ft long fiberglass sea kayaks. Selection varies by shop. Swing by the store and we would be happy to get you set up.
