Mountain Bikes
Here at Down Wind Sports we firmly believe in the concept of “Try Before You Buy”, and our rental program provides the perfect opportunity to try out a particular piece of equipment or activity. Remember your rental fees can be applied to the purchase of any new equipment.
The Upper Peninsula is home to some of the best mountain biking east of the Mississippi. The trails here are uniquely our own and have been featured multiple times on the pages of publications such as Bike and Mountain Bike magazines. Here in Houghton between the bike path along the water, the many back roads, the Michigan Tech Trails, the Maasto Hiito Trails, the Swedetown Trails, and the Copper Harbor Trails everyone of any ability can find an enjoyable place to go for a ride. When picking up your bike don’t forget to ask our staff for additional recommendations on places to ride and favorite routes.
Bikes rentals are available out of our Houghton location only.
Rental Fee:
$30/Day – bikes due back by close the following day - Includes bike, helmet, and lock.
