This clinic will teach participants the essential skills of belaying including: equipment, knot tying, safety check and commands, and belaying techniques.
Types of belay’s covered included:
- Top managed belay
- Belaying off an anchor
- Belaying with munter hitch
Participants are first shown these techniques and then allowed to practice under the supervision of an instructor. Clinic content will vary based on participant knowledge
This will be a non-climbing class and no gear will be required
Participation is limited to 12 people and preregistration is required
