Born and raised in Michigan’s lower peninsula, Jason has always been obsessed with Northern Michigan’s outdoor scene. His obsession with construction and the outdoors drew him to Michigan Tech in pursuit of a degree in civil and environmental engineering. While at school, Jason was introduced to climbing by his friends and was soon hooked. Many late nights and missed classes later, Jason and his friends explored the UP’s Keweenaw Peninsula climbing anything frozen and rocky. When he’s not climbing, Jason can be found on the water skiing and wakesurfing as well as crashing his bike at the many trails the UP has to offer.
