John started climbing in 1994. John is equally stoked to clip bolts, plug gear, boulder, ice climb, or develop new routes around Marquette. In a typical year, he gets about 150+ days climbing in the UP. John is currently the President of the Upper Peninsula Climbers’ Coalition. John graduated from NMU (B.S. and M.P.A.) and MSU College of Law. When he isn’t climbing with his wife, he is biking, skiing, SUPing, hiking, playing with his dog, or doing lawyer things.
