Black Diamond Stance Belay Pant- I Want, I Want, I Want!

The irony is that what makes for perfect ice producing conditions, doesn’t always make for comfortable climbing conditions.  Thankfully our friends over at Black Diamond developed super-warm, insulated pants for teeth-chattering, feet-stomping belay sessions. Think of it as a sleeping bag for your legs!

23282059326_a683bd149e_z Built with PrimaLoft Silver Hi-Loft insulation and designed to layer over a pair of shell pants, the Stance Belay Pants insulate even when wet and compresses down easily when it’s time to move on to your next route. Full side zippers make for easy on and off while wearing crampons, and an integrated, adjustable belt dials in a secure fit over varying layers.

If you’re an ice climber and are making trips to the U.P. or Canada and don’t already own insulated belay pants, trust us, invest in some. You’ll be amazed at how much warmer these keep you and your feet, enabling you to stay out longer and climb more!
